Hi my name is Paul Mara as I wrote in the heading in three languages I wish one and all a very warm welcome.
If any of you have already read some of my blogs you may have seen the following or parts there of. I will be posting this page and exerts on my other blogs…

We Are All Blessed!

Each and every one of us are blessed in one way or another without even realizing it!
So I decided to share some of my blessings in the hope it will stimulate your thoughts of how blessed you really are if you look hard enough!

First

I honestly believe I have been blessed in so many ways, my wonderful wife and I have 6 beautiful children and currently 11 gorgeous grandchildren my first blessing.

Second

I have lived and worked in what I call “My Three Pearls Of Oceania” true paradises which is my second blessing.

Third

I am fluent in three languages Tahitian English and French which I consider my third blessing.

Fourth

I am 63 years young as I am writing this and in reasonable health my fourth blessing.

Fifth

I had wonderful parents my birth mother died when I was just 10 years and my step mother did a wonderful job of bringing my younger sister and myself up blessing number five.

Sixth

My younger sister and I grew up in an environment surrounded by “Our father’s culture” my sixth blessing.

Seventh

Until the age of 12 I lived in a very small community surrounded by bush with gravel roads, where as children we could spend all day playing safely, plus we lived just 2 minutes away from the sea blessing number seven.

Eight

Before my mum passed away she instilled in my young sister and I religious beliefs which we still have till this very day my eighth blessing.

Ninth

We are a tight knit family even though we don’t all live in the same countries and that is once again thanks to our parents blessing number nine.

Tenth But Not The Last

My wife and I are proud “Baby Boomers” and we thank all those of our generation who created the technology that we have at our finger tips today, because it is so easy to communicate with all our family members almost instantly and see them and that is a true blessing for everyone on this planet, especially those of us like myself who grew up without electricity for the first few years of our lives, no TV of course but we did finally get an old valve radio to listen to once we got electricity and once a month in our village hall we would get to see a movie, but what a wonderful life style we had, I would do it all again at the drop of a hat.

I do have many more blessings but that’s enough for now.

To What Purpose

If you have read this far you probably saying to yourself what is he trying to say?

I suppose it was a wake up call for me 3 months ago that made me understand how blessed I really am that made me create that list. I am like so many people in today’s world who are struggling whether it was self inflicted like myself where a bad business decision cost me everything I had or unfortunately like some of you reading this who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time during the last decade.

Pity Party :-(

I admit I kept feeling sorry for myself and was having a real pity party and as I said struck rock bottom 3 months ago, but that’s another story because I’m back up and running, not quite 100% but I can accept that and keep moving on and up.

The Turn Around :-)

So by sharing all my experiences and the roller-coaster ride that life gives us maybe I can help some one or hopefully many before they hit rock bottom like I did and that is my Goal and Objective in sharing this!
I should mention rock bottom for me was not alcohol abuse or drugs but Depression!!!!
I am such a positive and self motivating person who always smiles and can sit down in a shopping center and people sit beside me and start talking, you can imagine the shock it gave me!
Yes I am on the up but I still a fair way to go and my writing is really allowing me to express myself in all forms, it’s my outlet and I’m loving it!
So Positive!

Blogs and Blogging

Since the mid nineties I have been trying to become an Internet Marketer.
I taught myself to build websites using HTML, I can use Photoshop for my images and I have created some beautiful websites, then in October last year I read an article from a successful online marketer that I respect who advised less experienced marketers to use blogs.
So there and then I decided to change my twenty odd websites to blogs, no mean feat for a newbie baby boomer and that’s how I started blogging.
Then due to a serious family illness I stopped completely for more than three months until June of this year.
Since June three of my best blogs I have created received in excess of 100,000 comments!
Yes, I couldn’t believe it.
Yesterday I was checking comments and a short article I had posted on January 14th, 2011 has now had in excess of 5,000 comments and of course this has motivated me with my other blogs.
